From clinical practice to a parent's discovery
The journey into myofunctional therapy didn't begin in a textbook — it began at home.
What I discovered was unexpected — many of my own son's symptoms were rooted in something so commonly overlooked: mouth breathing. Until that point, I had never fully realized how significantly orofacial dysfunction can impact a child's development, sleep, behavior, and long‑term health.
After more than a decade in dentistry — including a Master's in Endodontics from Cairo University and years of specialist practice — the search for answers to a child's quiet symptoms became the search that changed everything.
That personal turning point led to advanced training in orofacial myofunctional therapy, and a new mission: to help other families recognize the signs early, understand the connection between breathing and growth, and find a path forward when conventional answers fall short.
